Jailbroken 3.0, where can i go to?

I've got my phone JB'ed on 3.0, i want to wipe the JB and start fresh coz i did alot of ssh'ing and stuff way back when i did it, and my phones quite unstable it crashes quite often and I wanna get rid of alot of the stuff i put on it.

So what software version can i go up to, where can i get said software version, and what JB software should i use this time?

Since you are pwned, you can upgrade to any custom firmware made with PwnageTool. I would suggest 3.1.2. Any further advice would require that we know what model of phone you have and when it was made.

In any case, I would recommend upgrading to a custom 3.1.2 firmware (one made with PwnageTool). This will preserve your jailbreak and your baseband. Do not upgrade to 3.1.3 stock, which would eliminate your ability to jailbreak and unlock.

Do you know if you have your SHSH on file in Cydia? It's not needed for a jailbreak train upgrade, but if your phone ever needs to be DFU restored you will need it to avoid upgrading to 3.1.3.

yeah there are about 100 in the iPhone Hacks sub forum that you just posted this thread in, but I guess everyone would rather be told than to have to look for themselves.....

Basically if you upgrade to 3.1.3 or if you need to restore your phone to factory firmware, you will not be allowed to go back to 3.1.2 because apple has to digitally sign the firmware or something to allow it on your iPhone now. If you uploaded your SHSH to Cydia a few weeks ago, you would still be able to get 3.1.2 I'm assuming that you have not since you don't know what we are talking about which means that you need to download pwnage tool, create a custom .ipsw for your 3GS, put it in DFW and restore with the custom .ipsw!
