Jailbroken iphone stuck on text page.

I'm currently at work and i unlocked my iphone 3gs and was on my text page. No biggie, clicked the home button, but it took me no where.

I could text fine, recieve texts, even recieve calls. I was able to play a song using voice control, and double tap home to go to my ipod menu. I was not however able to access proswitcher. This happened twice before (re jailbroke after the second time) and a simple restore fixed my problem. However, I'm tethered, so I can't jailbreak at work. Has this happened to anyone else? What can i do about it considering it happened on my old jailbreak, and has not happened since. I've bene jailbroken for over a week now and this is the first time it's happened since.

That happened to me once with Safari. I ssh'd in and ran "killall SpringBoard" to restart SpringBoard and it was fine after that.

I have a 3G so I don't know if that will help you. You need ssh installed and I don't know if you can restart springboard on a tethered jailbreak, but it seems to be springboard getting hung and it shouldn't need a restore as long as you're prepared.

I can restore my springboard on a tethered. I do it using proswitcher most times.

Though, when this happens i can't run proswitcher. I guess I'll download SBsettings then. Thanks
