My folks have always used Windows and have this fixation with buying cheap and cheerful laptops when they see them, that end up last 4 months before they are shot. I have been working on trying to get them over to Macs as it would make my life easier as well, so when they were over the other week they had a play with my MacBook but didn't seem THAT impressed.
I then get a phone call last night to say "we got a mac!" I asked which on and get told its a silver laptop, is that a good one??
The jammy devils have got themselves a MBP! I have been thinking about getting a MBP by selling my iMac and Macbook but didn't expect my folks to go the whole hog. There reason was it was the bigger screen.
Get a text this morning.....
"This thing is good! Much better than my old laptop. Thanks!"
