Question for those who have the preview...did Apple remove Java again from 10.8? I ask because after upgrading to 10.7 I realized that Java was removed and I had to install it myself. But it wasn't obvious to me at the time so it caused me some stress (I need Java to access my work pc from home). Anyone know of any other surprises, things being removed, etc.?

If Apple already removed Java from OS X with Lion, how could they remove it again?

There are things changed/removed in 10.8 that have been mentioned in various threads in this forum. I'm not sure anyone has collected those changes in to one spot yet.

Sorry I wasn't clear. What I'm wondering is, will an upgrade to 10.8 remove Java from my Macbook? I manually installed it after the Lion upgrade and was wondering if it will disappear after 10.8.

The answer is, based on my experiences upgrading various Macs from Snow Leopard to Lion, from Lion to Mountain Lion DP builds, and MLDP to newer MLDP, yes. If you had Java installed prior to the upgrade, it WILL be removed after the upgrade completes.

Any issues with Java on ML?

I use my MacBook at home to remotely log into my Windows desktop machine at the office. I need Java to work on my MacBook for this kind of remote access. I know it's early but does anyone have a similar setup and can confirm if there are any problems with this on ML? I haven't upgraded yet. Thanks. (works fine on Lion)
