This isn't really a big deal, but I figured I'd see if anyone noticed a similar behavior. Every once in a while, if I'm bored, I'll try to play some stupid little Java game (addictinggames.com) and nearly 100% of the time I get horrible lag and below 20 fps. I tried with browsers ranging from Safari, to Firebird, to IE and had the same result. Is OS X just bad at Java and Flash, or could it be a video card problem?

Again, not very important, just something I thought was odd considering I'm running a 1 Ghz G4 with an acceptable Radeon video card.

I'm guessing that there's a problem with any single processor configuration running Java 1.4.1, although it's gotten better with Panther. Even my dual has Java issues now. :( There is another version up and coming, but it may be 2-3 months before it's ready.

Flash is another story. Macromedia seems to have worked very hard to make Flash work slowly on Macintosh. It seems better with version 7, but not exemplary as it should be by now.
