I was having a trouble with battery life on my rMBP that I traced down to runaway Java processes that were using 100-120% CPU. I've stopped using CrashPlan (which is java based) and switched to BackBlaze. It seemed to solve the problem for about a week, but now I have runaway Java again. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Other apps I have running:

Finder
MS Word and Exel
Mail
DevonThink Pro
iTunes
Calendar
Preview
Spotify

Running 10.8.2 with all updates installed

Do you have Java enabled in your web browser? You shouldn't, unless you're visiting a trusted site that requires it.

It was enabled. I've disabled java in Safari but enabled Java Script (Facebook requires it). I'll see if the problem recurs. Thanks!
