macOS Java Swing Issues

Hi,

I am having issues with using java swing on my mac. Everything compiles fine and code executes alright but nothing renders in the appliction window. If have added a button. it doesnt show up. If i try the same piece of code on the same machine but in a different user, everything works file.
I realize there might be something wrong with the java settings. Can some one tell me which plist file I have to delete?

Are either of those two accounts administrator accounts?

yes both are admin accounts.
