JB restore from backup/set up as new iPhone

Just curious to know, who sets up there iPhone up as new after they JB each time? Or do most just restore from backup?

As you all know if you resotre from a previously JB iPhone you stil have some parts of you JB when you restore, which can cause a few problems.

For my 3.0 jb, I didn't even start with a clean 3.0. I had been running 3.0 for 2 weeks and jb'd with all my apps installed. No problems.

Ye i first set up from backup after upgrading to 3.0 and J/Brkn...however youtube didnt work (I used redsnow) so i had read on another forum that i should restore and j/b again but this time set up as "new iphone" which i did but there was no difference and still Youtube still doesnt work....

Also i find safari and downloading mail to be much slower since i upgraded
but dont know if this is an upgrade issue or network related

I really want to set up my 3G as a new phone again, but iam having trouble figuring out the easiest way to backup all my contacts/mail account/calender/texts etc. Any help would be great runiing windows 7.
