Make it a Festiva they'll never forget by giving them a cheap Chinese knockoff of the thing they really want!

How silly. I don't think JC Penny really cared to use Apple, they'd have to be able to use it and they probably don't sell the brand. Think about it.

^^ how does it make you feel?
What did you think when you saw the ad?

The Festivus pole need not be adorned with iPods when Creative and Sansa start at $9.

Hahaha.
Although, where on that ad does it say it's an iPod?

i think what he's getting at is a lot of companies who market things will use other name brand products to help show off their products (though in that picture i don't know what they're marketing, clothes?!)

if you want to see black market iPhone's from china go to dealextreme.com and look around the Cell Phone section..it's an ugly site D:

Why is everything suddenly an Apple knockoff? Because of its shape? I mean, come on. Sometimes the fanboi-ism goes a little far. Stop idealizing everything Apple and seeing it everywhere. It's just an MP3 player for ****'s sake.

/end rant.

well here is how i see things. if apple sells (more) iPods, they would have more leverage when dealing with film and music companies... more iPods more sales in the iTunes store... and hopefully, apple could give us something, which would be something positive for us consumers...

I'm pretty sure that JCPennEy sells those MP3 players in their store. It'd be kind of dumb to have an actual iPod in the ad if they don't even sell them to begin with... and they are a retail clothing store, they aren't focusing their sales around these small electronics.
