Not affiliated with the developers in any way, but downloaded Jelly Car and played it for a while. It is a simple yet fun game and more importantly free. It's games like this that give me hope after seeing all of the shovelware out there right now.

I just went to look at it and had to refresh my screen to make sure I was seeing the screenshots correctly! It looks like someone let their kid draw some pages and then decided to make an app out of it! It could be fun, but I wouldnt download it just because of the ridiculous looking interface!

I think that is kind of the whole point...

Yep. In fact, if it had more "realistic" graphics, it would probably seem kind of lame. The fact that it's simple, child-like graphics makes the simple gameplay even more "ok." ;)

You guys just don't get it. The "child-like" graphics is part of the art style of the game. I just saw a youtube video and the physics in the game is what seems to make this a fun game, at least it was very fun and amusing to watch.

A game is supposed to be fun, graphics are a means of drawing (no pun intended) you into the world. It doesn't matter how great the graphics are if the gameplay is below it.

From the youtube videos I've seen, the graphics in the game are very well suited to the gameplay. Realistic graphics here would make the game look lame. Once you see the video I think you'll agree.

I downloaded it quite a while ago, and I keep coming back to it. It has a few problems, like the controls aren't very nice and some physics need a little tweaking. But that's a minor thing, it's an amazing game. A level editor would be awesome, and more levels already in it would be nice too. Forget about the "childish" graphics, first of all they're fine and second of all you're missing out for nothing if that's stopping you.

I read this post a few days ago and at that time I had decided I didn't want the game. Looking at the reviews and re-visiting this thread has convinced me to give it a try. Besides that it is free so why not ;)

you were a kid once... :)

BTW... I dont think a 5 y/o knows how to code... I love the game... and plus... the physics are "jelly like" I dont think a real car can be squashed to 1/8 of it's size :D

Yea, this game is awesome. I've spent more time with this than most of my paid apps. New levels always seem to come and some are really tough. I can't believe some scores people get on the leaderboards though.
