So after SS Apple Watch came out many people complained of micro scrathches... Many others reaponded that just like other SS watches they could be buffed out periodically.

I'm wondering if the scrathes are in a "clear" finish over black or is the actual color being removed?

Any technical opinions based on the jet black promo "how it's made" video??

Nobody knows, the phone isn't out yet.

It's anodized aluminum just like iPhone 5 and 6 series and aluminum Apple Watch, and everyone knows you can't polish them. Additionally, Apple's recommendation that a case be used with the JB iPhone if someone is anal retentive enough to be concerned about fine micro-scratches suggests that they can't be polished out. Otherwise, they would have said nothing (just like SS Apple Watch that can be easily polished).

Hmm. I wonder if anyone's developed a product like LiquidNano that would work on Aluminum. Be awesome to be able to preserve that finish! I e-mailed the info address at liquid nano - see if their product would work on aluminum or if they have something else available.

I still went with the Jet Black - I plan to use the clear skin on the back and a case. If it still scratches oh well - I'm on an annual upgrade - I will be getting rid of it this time next year anyway. If the JB is too delicate - I will do the regular black on the iPhone 8 plus if it is an option.
