Hello there,

i am using a Transcend Jetdrive Lite in my MacBook Pro 2014.
For that SD-Card I have downloaded a program, Jetdrive Toolbox, which auto ejects the SD-Card in the moment i close the lid of my MacBook, so the MacBook can go into deep sleep mode.

Does this program and the other Auto-Eject programs like Jettison and Co. still work under
OS X 10.11 El Capitan?

Thank you very much!

Greetings from Germany

Forgive me if I am mistaken, but I thought the sole purpose of the Transcend JetDrive ToolBox was for the implementation of TRIM. The need to implement TRIM using the Transcend utility has gone away with the implementation of the Apple Terminal command to enable TRIM as of OS 10.10.4. Am I wrong in my thinking?

I have the Transcend 128 gig memory card installed for my macbook air 2013 and El Capitan works great except that after closing lid and computer goes to sleep and then lid is opened the computer kernel panics and gets rebooted. After the reboot computer starts up fine and the memory card works as usual.

I unplugged the memory card, closed lid and waited for the computer to sleep. When I open lid now the computer works fine so based on this I know either the Transcend software thats installed isn't working properly with the drive after sleep or something with El Capitan is faulty.

I am going to try and re-install the Transcend toolbox, if that doesn't work we need to pressure them to fix this.

^^^^It is not a compatibility issue with the Transcend JetDrive, but rather a compatibility issue with the Transcend JetDrive ToolBox software.

The Transcend JetDrive ToolBox was originally released with the first issuance of the JetDrive SSD. It's main purpose in life was an alternative to Cindori's Trim Enabler to enable TRIM. I never used it in my MBA, since i used Trim Enabler at the time. I see no use for it now, since Apple (starting with OS 10.10.4) is allowing all third party SSDs to enable TRIM with a Terminal command.

I've had the same problems (kernel panics, computer rebooting).
I hope Transcend does something about this, but in the meantime I went back to Yosemite on my MacBook Pro.

After upgrading to El Capitan I was getting nonstop kernel panics which looked to be due to my Transcend JetDrive Lite as it's the only USB device I have attached.

Kernel Extensions in backtrace:
com.apple.iokit.IOSCSIArchitectureModelFamily
com.apple.iokit.IOUSBMassStorageDriver
dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOUSBHostFamily
dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOStorageFamily
dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOSCSIArchitectureModelFamily

I removed it a few weeks ago and the kernel panics stopped. :/

FWIW JetDriveToolBox 1.14 seems to work fine now I have installed 10.11.2 beta 2 on my 2014 rMBP. With beta 1 I would get OS X "disk unmounted incorrectly" messages when I woke from sleep. With 10.11.1 I got kernel panics.

That's interesting.
I can not test it because i do not run the beta.
I unistalled the whole Transcend software, after an email conversation with Transcend, and the panics are gone. When 10.11.2 is released, i will try it again...

There is a new version of Jetdrive Toolbox available. 1.14.1 (107). Seems to work on 10.11.2 B3, where the previous version 1.14 didn't. May fix kernel panics etc on other OS versions.
