Agreed, I saw the YT a while ago and thought if that was accurate, it could be really cool. The initial run of pre-orders were sold out, so there seems to be demand.

Consumer 3D printers and domestic robots are the two emerging consumer device categories that really excite me at the moment.

Smart watches and wearables just don't do it for me.

I'm not into stationary robots. How much of a robot is it when you have to carry it from room to room and plug it in?

I think the ultimate idea is to have one in every major room. Kitchen, Living room and bedrooms... and all interlinked. Until robots are like the ones in iRobot (still 30 years away probably), this is the type of robot the average joe will be able to afford and use.

ITs a proof in concept so to speak (at least for me), and I think technology has progressed to the point where these sort of things become possible. The next evolutionary step is to make it mobile. Perhaps something like BB8 in star wars which is an actual moving robot.
