So for the last few weeks I’ve been playing with some iPad cases by a company called Jisoncase.

NOTE: I got pitched to review a case for Jisoncase, since they carry multiple styles, I asked for review copies of them all :)rolleyes:) to make a fair assessment. Even though that this is a sponsored review, these are still my own views and I will truthfully tell you how I feel about this product and whether I'd recommend it.

My first impression is this - If you’re going to buy your significant other, your parents, or maybe your kid entering/in college an iPad this holiday season, you should buy them one of these cases. They are a little on the expensive side, but they are more sturdy than the official Smart Covers from Apple, offer more protection coverage, and are just lovely to hold.

They smell nice too as they’re made with leather.

So below are my thoughts on their three main collections: Quilted, Fashion, and Vintage.

Quilted

This is my favorite out of the three. I don’t generally have a lot of expensive stuff, but this feels like a premium product to me. Better than a Moleskine, and kinda reminds me of a clutch handbag and folio wallet. It has a little opening in the back to flip the cover over and stand it up. That just seems like a better solution than the rollup approach you see on the other covers. I’ve been using it in my basic animation class to read my textbook during lectures. Sit it in front of the iMac with Adobe Flash open, a notebook and pen, it’s great.

My dad was pretty impressed with it when he was messing with the iPad the other day during my doctor's appointment.

The actual quilting and stitching looks great too, lots of detail.

Fashion (Classic)

I asked for this in red. WOW is the color beautiful and vibrant! It’s not like a bright red, but like lipstick red. It works like the other covers that you rollup to stand it up, however I see this going through less wear and tear because it’s built better. I can even stand it up without the device in there for instance.

Vintage

This vintage brown smart case would work REALLY well with a white iPad. It looks nice with my black one though. It’s like the Fashion one and rolls up.

Overall

The only cons of these cases are that they don’t have holes for the power or volume buttons. They tell you to stretch out the fabric a little before putting it on so it makes room for them. Once you start pressing down on them with use, it doesn’t really matter though as they start showing through.

My pictures make the cases seem like they come off easily, but that's mainly because I redid the pictures multiple times and had to pull the cases on and off. They fit very snugly after you put them in and press down, and they're very HARD to pull out (And I do mean that, I just figured that out a hour ago even after struggling to get these off, haha ). You do it from the bottom where the speakers are.

The packaging is really cute, easy to open, has a sample swatch of the case material, and has this really nice tag with the company’s logo. Easy enough to wrap and gift. There’s also an insert inside to keep it nice and neat in there.

If you’re interested in any of these cases, you can get $10 OFF with the coupon code BYOUTUBE2013 at jisoncase.com. It’s good for anything in their store, so while you might not be looking for cases for the iPad Mini in particular, you might like a case for another device.

And I highly recommend them. :D
