Though it isn't all that it is cut out to be. I'd recommend trying to get a job at John Lewis in the audio/tv/computing department instead. I worked there and was far better than the Apple retail experience my friends who worked there had. John Lewis sell Macs too, and it's good experience to sell multi-OS machines than just OS X. On CV, you'd be able to write far more about working for likes of John Lewis than Apple.
I hate Apple retail culture, makes me sick - the fake smiles, the hype of it all. It's a headache being in an Apple store more than 10 minutes - always busy, always loud.
i agree with Kilamite, most tesco stores also now have a large computer section and they sell some apple products. I have 3 friends that do this and think it's good, they also get apple product training.
