Job scheduling for MPI like LAVA?

Are there any tools out there for OSX similar to LAVA used on clusters?

I've attempted to get MPI to work with Xgrid, but have given up after spending a few days on it.

Although I can use mpirun and nohup to have my jobs run across my networked macs in the background, it's a pain having to track when the jobs finish and start other jobs. I'd like to have this done in a queue.

Any recommendations or starting points? Or any experience with getting Xgrid to work with MPI?

I am fully aware of how to install MPI and run jobs over SSH on it. (https://forums.macrumors.com/posts/12905721/)

The question here is scheduling like Lava on OSx.

Supposedly XGrid is supposed to do this with openMPI (see here http://www.open-mpi.org/faq/?category=building#build-rte), and I've followed instructions on how to do so per the ompi mailing list (see here http://www.open-mpi.org/community/lists/users/2006/02/0581.php), however I have given up on XGrid because it does not appear to work.

I am aware ompi dropped xgrid support in the ~1.2 releases, which I tried those that supposedly support it, however it does not appear to work with Lion.

So back to my original question, what other options are there for mac?
