JL terms & conditions say no. Only items which have not been used/opened can be returned for a refund unless faulty.

Apple Store conditions say no. Only items bought at their stores have the 14-day "trial" period.

However, did you order them online? If so, different rules may apply. Even if you bought them in person, JL are a decent store, they may refund if you say something like "they don't stay in my ears, I must have an unusual ear shape" rather than "take this pile of **** back!".

Online means they will accept the return as you’re covered by distance selling rules in the uk.

I always buy electronics online because you just don’t know sometimes.

Earphones (in-ear ones) *may* be refused if obviously worn for hygiene reasons. Same as one can't typically return swimming trunks, underwear, earrings etc.

Not happy.

This is why I always purchase from Apple directly.

Just say you returned them as they were faulty.

I stated many things with them however failed to get a refund still so I’ve taken up a complaint with head of customer services. In the meantime they’re sending me them back...

I regularly hear that their customer service is great, but I've never been impressed to be honest. Not a patch on Apple or Amazon!
