Here's my dilemma: My phone experienced a spill of Johnny Walker. I quickly wiped off all the booze and the iphone seemed to work fine. Later that night, I started to notice the first row of icons/applications did not register on the touch screen. Everything worked fine but the upper section of the touch screen. To make matters worse, the applications that I use on the first row of icons are settings/Mail/Maps/Camera. So basically I have an iphone with no wifi/mail/maps. Fkn awesome! To make matters worse, when I enter a new contact, it will not allow me to "save" hence the save button on the top right. So now I have an iphone that does nothing but plays music and takes calls. lol... I'm guessing liquid damage effected the upper section of the touch screen. Now I'm not sure if I should toss the phone and get a another or there's still some hope. I read some of the previous forums but personally I don't believe throwing the iphone in a bag of rice and praying with fix the issue although willing to try anything. Any insight would be helpful.

Thanks!

see if you can drag other icons in front of those to push them back. i know you said it doesn't register when you touch so dragging will be hard. what you can try doing is flicking them to make them fly into the spots. i just tried it on my phone and it should work for you as well. good luck
