Who said the company needed a website? Word of mouth and reputation go far farther than a website can.
Ive's prospective clientele are small in number and high in net worth. Each project will be meticulously planned and if you have to ask the price then you surely can't afford the services.
Apple have millions of customers the world over and their website is part of how they offer their services.
So, totally different.
That would be the ultimate expression of Jony’s uber-minimalism, now wouldn’t it?
As I‘ve often said (whined, to some), Jony‘s obsession of making things thinner, flatter, plainer, simpler, smoother, monochromatic, more symmetric, etc., so much before all you’re left with is…nothing?
So maybe a no-website website made complete sense to him, up until the grand unveiling of his hilariously self-absorbed LoveFrom site which really introduced nothing new that wouldn't apply to most other companies in the world.

7. iOS7, whose form-first thrashing of intuitive interface design from Jony’s pent-up egotism still negatively affects my efficiency and joy to use Macs/i-devices to this day (and resulted in the Fisher Price My First Computer look to Mac OS)
8. Mouse that’s unusable while charging
9. Chistmas Tree exhibit/design that’s as warm and inviting as an abandoned department store in December whose roof lets in the rain, wind and snow.

I’d personally give that a bit of a break since that seemed to be more a functional design mistake and not a mistake that was driven by some minimalist form restriction. It’s not as if other iPhones with successful antenna operation had projecting antennas.

Potato vs. potato. When something runs into being a little less intuitive or clear than before, or requires more steps to do what used to take 1 step, all in the sake of a simpler appearance, then to me it's a step backward.
If for some, a newer, cleaner, simpler appearance is a step forward, then good for them.
I'm not but some remnants of io7's hastily-implemented undoing of anything resembling Scott Forestal's work still remains, unfortunately.
