joining files

I searched long and hard for a nicel ittle app to join files, but none of them are as easy as i thought. I was looking for a drag and drop app, but those i found all organize the files in the wrong order...or produce some large file that is unreadable. Anyone know of something i'm missing?

you can do this in QuickTime for the mpegs, just play the first movie to the end (or slide the bar to the end) and then drag and drop the next one onto the screen. If you use Flip4Mac you can do this with wmvs in QT as well.
