Joining two mp4s but keeping the chapter markers?

I apologize if this has been posted before. I've been searching through threads and have not seen this specific issue. Is there any way to join two mp4s and keep the chapter markers where they are?

I'd try Yamb. It's a windows frontend for MP4box. If you don't have access to windows then I'm not sure what to tell you. In the admittedly little searching I have done I haven't found an ideal mp4box solution on mac. There probably is though.

I will be at my parents house for Easter tomorrow and they use windows, so I am in luck! Thanks! If anyone else knows of a mac version though...

If these 2 MP4's are from DVD (part 1 & part 2) and you have the DVD, you can use DVD2OneX2 to ultimately end up with a single MP4.

However, if you all you have are 2 MP4s, you could use Quicktime Pro by pasting the 2nd one onto the end of the first one and then exporting a new (combined) file (though I'm not sure this will keep the chapter markers where they are).

Very cool, I have one 2 disc movie that I would like to combine into one. Does the free trial on this give you enough privilege to do this? I do not want to have to purchase the whole program for one movie. If I like it and end up with more 2 disc movies in the future I will buy it then.

You can't toggle compression. It will always compress to fit the selected media type(if needed), however you can change your media to a 9G dual layer disk, or even a custom value.

That said, if I try using a custom value much larger then 9G, the program crashes. This is very rarely an issue. I ran low on space for LOTR and it was a bit finicky. I think I just cut off part end the credits to make it fit (it was a while ago)
