joke, error, or really good deal?!?

$6 does seem low (I think they normally go for around $20?), but then again, there isn't a big market for 256 sticks anymore. I'm not sure what computer those sticks are for though?
 
They're probably selling off RAM pulled from stock MB/MBP/iMacs that were upgraded. Considering that the MB already comes with 2x256MB stock, and the MBP and iMacs come with 1x512MB stock, there's probably such a low demand for this that they realise they wouldn't get any more than $6.99.
