Hi,
Just wondering if anybody can help explain the new JPEG XL format.
It can only be utilised (I think) when using ProRaw Max and it utilises a new compression for the 48mp file with improved latitude to raise highlights etc in post when compared to HEIF. I think I heard somewhere that it was contained in a DNG file??
It’s clearly not RAW but there are two options lossy and lossless. I’m just trying to figure out, apart from file size, is there any other benefits? Say over shooting 48mp HEIF? It seems like the colour and tone are less ‘processed’ than HEIF and are more balanced like an actual camera?
Thanks
