Jpegs for Website...What Size ?

I took a series of images for a fashion website
and i have to deliver ready made jpegs for their website...

He did not specify a certain size or DPI....

So what should i deliver to the client ?

the jpegs are going to be half of the webpage.

So should i make web ready jpegs at 8 x 10 inch size at 100 dpi ??

any advice would be awesome !!

For display on the web only? They should all be 72 DPI. As for size, inches don't matter, just worry about pixels, but I can't help you in saying what size they should be as it's entirely dependent on how they'll be shown on the website — "half of the webpage" doesn't say much as that could be almost anything.

Is it good to give them the
Jpegs at 1200 x 900 pixels at 72 dpi ??

Could they then scale them down to
800 x 600 pixels if they needed to ??

Why not look at the site, download some of the images, and check the size. At least you'll know what sizes to deliver.

But is it ok to be on the safe side and give them jpegs

a little bigger, then they can always down size ??

Why on earth can't you just ask your client what they need? Of course you can be on the safe side and give them larger files. But then they may not own software to resize it (doubtful). There is no way for us or you to know that without asking them.

Or you could give them uprezed ones, ones that are the same size as pics currently on their site, and thumbnails if you wanted. You could even send them original raws. You COULD do anything, but you and we cant know what you are supposed to do without talking to your client.
