Hi,
I have a Mac Mini running 10.13.5 and a Buffalo Link Station running 3.09.
I have about 20,000 jpg photos on the link station, some of which i am using to make a video.
My problem is I cannot open some of the jpg,s. I have opened "Get Info" unlocked and changed setting only to be told i do not have permission. The jpg,s were downloaded from the Mac to the link station. It will let me open some, the next few it will not, then I can open some more then the next one will not. How can I open them all?

What happens if you take one or two of the files that won't open, then COPY THEM BACK TO your Mini, and then try to open them?

It will not let copy them back. The only thing I can see is that the"Stantionery Pad" is grey on the ones I can open and black on the ones I can't.

You probably can change permissions on the directory where all the photos are stored. You may be able to do that from the Mac, but it may be necessary to do it from whatever software is used to manage the Linkstation.

Can't do it from the Mac and the Linkstation software I can't get into, so will try Buffalo for help.
