Anyone else having trouble remotely connecting to Mac computer using iOS JumpConnect? Almost every time I try, I get the message that the computer is offline. A few times I got the error message " Protocol problem Error code = 2, sub error = 0." I emailed the developer a little while ago. I don't recall having this problem before Mojave.

I am running Mojave 10.4 and iOS 12.1.3. I am running dual SIM on my Max and I even tried switching carriers and that didn't help. I have uninstalled and installed several times on the iMac and mini to no avail.

If I turn on wifi on the phone, it will connect to the iMac or Mini. I can also connect to either computer directly with the mac app.

I don't think I have missed a setting, although anything is possible.

I also have Parallels Access and can connect via cellular without any problems.

YES it’s been a show for last few weeks; no idea what’s going on. Thought it was just me.

Thanks for the reply, Blaine. Glad to know its not just me. Before now, I have always had good, fast connecting and response with the app. Even Parallels Access is very laggy via cellular. And that is with 25 - 30mbps.

I need to be able to remotely log in to my computers. Not sure what else I can try or do at this point.

I mean VPN and VNC May be alternative; albeit far more complex than point and click lol

Blaine,
I contacted the developer, and his reply was to make sure my computers were not in sleep mode. I told him that I can access my computers with Splashtop and Parallels Access. I never got a second reply. In looking at their support page, this has happened to people before and they got the same kind of reply.

One of mine specifically that isn’t working is a camera NVR/Server. Ain’t no sleep about it lol. Well, it was a nice ride while it did work. Easily was my favorite UI. I guess time to move on.

I agree with you. They do have a good UI, Parallels Access has a nice UI as well, although it is $20 a year. Out of the three mentioned, I have found Splashtop to be the fasted. The UI is decent and it is $16.00 to connect from anywhere.

@blaine07

I heard back from the developer. He had me installed the Mac app beta. I am now able to connect to my iMac and mini via cellular albeit there seems to be a lag from the time the Mac icon turns red showing connected, to when the iOS app shows the current computer screen. I sent there developer logs from the iMac and mini just now.

I glad I can connect again. Like you, I appreciate the UI.

Hopefully he’s able to figure it out then!
