In Lion the Junk folder in Mail.app used to have an icon and located among Inbox, Trash etc.
After upgrading to Mountain Lion and resetting the iCloud account it's just another ordinary folder at the bottom. Telling Mail.app to use it for spam doesn't change anything.

Did anyone experienced the same?

I think I've seen it before.

Try to go to Mail Preferences --> Junk Mail tab.

Now check if the option "When junk mail arrives" is set to "Move it to the junk mailbox".

Cheers,
Pietro

Sorry to revive such an old thread, but how do I solve this on iOS? I see just an ugly blue folder called ‘Junk’.
