Hi guys, for some reason, since the last few 15.X updates, I've been receiving hoards of Junk Mail, which thankfully drops straight into the Junk Mailbox.

Is there any reason why this should happen all of a sudden?

And how can I stop this random stuff coming though. It's a constant 10-20 emails a day.

I've been receiving a ton of it as well, mainly on my Yahoo Mail account but not exclusively. It appears that the new approach is to send it from what appears to be an email subscription list as Yahoo gives me the option to mark it as spam or unsubscribe from the email list. I always mark it as spam hoping that it blocks it from everyone that gets it.

Phone and email spam are a major nuisance.

Thanks mate. I've been getting these in my mac email address and they do drop into Junk but they then just keep on coming.

I'll.check to see if there's an Unsubscribe option. Although a bit weary to click on anything in those emails.

I don't think that unsubscribe will do anything. They make it look like it's from a mailing list to get by the spam filters. They seem to be more inclined to let the email go through if it appears that it's from an email list.

This. NEVER click on unsubscribe for something that is not legit, as now you've let them know that that address is a live one.

I've been lucky, as my spam mail has gone down over the years. Seeing about two a day, four is a "heavy" day. Been with Gmail forever, and my main/original address was exposed in some leaks over the years, but Google's filters are doing a good job: rarely does any spam sneak into non-spam folder. Plus I've disabled loading of images, to stop tracking pixels/images phoning home.

So I'll just have to let the junk mail roll in I guess and delete it all

You could have had an email hacked (someone or some company you use) and off it goes. As said - don't unsubscribe or anything - just move to junk
