Is there any way to have just a certain part of a song to play on iweb. I only want people to hear a certain part of a song, is there a way?

I know nothing but how about editing the track in garageband to only have the part you want people to hear? Then there's nothing else for them to hear but that one part. :)

just tried it.
Only setting the start/stop times doesn't edit the file, but once you Convert it, the new file is clipped to the smaller size. And you get whatever format (AAC, Lossless, mp3) you have set in Prefs > Importing.

^^^^ That works as well, though you get an AAC file.

Actually the file format is dependent on what the iTunes' importing preferences are set to. If "Import Using" is set to MP3 Encoder, you will get an MP3. If set to AIFF...

Edit: Damb! frankblundt stole my thunder.

It's a song from a cd so I don't think thats possible. good idea tho.

I'm guessing you don't have rebroadcast rights to that song, eh? If not, technically, what you're trying to do is illegal. Sorry.

sound studio works well for what you want to do.

I have used MP3 Trimmer to do this for months. It trims the songs, and will even apply a fade in or out and does all this without lossy re-encoding.

It has a full-featured demo with no time limit, but I chose to pay the whopping $10.95 because it is such a neat program. I have found it helpful for when I extract audio from concert DVDs. Since there is a break in between tracks and with the applause it canbe jarring, I use it to trim what I can and do the fades so it sounds very professional.

And no, I do not get a benefit from my recommendation.
