My powerbook was bought actually through a salvage auction where I worked I had no idea if it worked or what was wrong with it. Well anyhow it works like a brand new machine. In my learnings and readings about macs and my powerbook I learnt about the battery recall. This laptop is what 3 years old and I just did the replacement no problem at all! Apple`s process and system was easy and amazing it took 2 minutes. I`m impressed that they still honor it, and it is all prepaid and is hassel free....Amazing also they had my machine even registered in there system! Just thought i`d share...

i can agree with that, after i did the recall on my old powerbook, the battery life went from 10 minutes to 3 hours
