I'm going to build a game, I'd like some advice,

I'll start with the "setup" for the interface, which is just a menu...

What project type should I start with, iPhone Application -> Navigation Based Application, OpenGL ES App, Tab Bar App, View-based app, window-based app...?

I don't really understand much about what a "view" is, I think it is code, that the iPod uses to display graphics in a window or something, and you can change views, so to go from the Main Menu (clicking the option button) to the option menu?

I also am not quite sure which document I should place "new" code in?

Can anyone help me with this, it's a good start.
I've just started reading all the help information for starting.

Kind Regards

so basically, you don't know anything about coding but you want to code a game? :D

start learning objective-c. there are numerous books and tutorials about it, there is a sticky at the top of this forum on how to get started. after that, learn cocoa touch. then code a game.

Objective-C is the language used for programming an iPhone?

Actually I do know how to code, just not for the iPhone or Mac (Windows Programmer), so I'll have a look at the sticky.

Kind Regards

If you don't know what Objective-C is, you aren't writing anything on any Apple platform.

Read Apple's Introduction to Objective-C, then experiment with Cocoa on the Mac (read the Cocoa Fundamentals Guide), then I'd recommend buying the book "Beginning iPhone development" by Dave Mark and Jeff LaMarche.

If you can commit full days to it, you could be writing iPhone applications after about three weeks.

Make it like spore but instead start out as a pubic lice, then try and work at festering the skin around the base of the hair by eating good skin cells and leaving lice excrement behind, kind of like a really gross reverse version of tetris.
