Got the student discount too!

The guy that sold it to me said the bigger cities are already stocked with the 4gb MBA's even though they don't have them advertised on the store's floor.

I'll report back once I get home and open it.

Is student discount 10%?

Also, does anybody know if the 13in still has RAM soldered to the board or if it's user-upgradeable?

The student discount is roughly $50 off the price of the computer, plus most upgrades (e.g. CPU, RAM) are about $10 off. You can just look at the online education store to see.

All models have the RAM soldered on.

Got mine also. 2.13 GHz, 4GB, 256GB SSD. List $1,799, my price $1,500!
There was a mix up when I got there. Drove 2 hours away to purchase the 1.8 with 128GB and 4GB. Got there and the associate told me they had made a mistake and didn't have it. The store manager felt terrible and sold me this one for $300 off!

Didn't see any at the Brandon, FL store...although I never asked them to check in the back. Maybe next visit I will.

Congrats OP, enjoy it.

To the OP:

Care to post a quick review? I've been dying to hear how the 2.16GHZ/4GB ram model performs, but all the reviews have been just for the base models. I plan on ordering the maxed out 13" model in about 2 weeks, so I'd love to hear about it's performance if you would be so kind!
