I sold my T2i planning and planned to buy a T3i (I know, hardly much difference between the two) since Amazon had them for as low as $420.

I was talking to a guy at the gym who works at Target and he told me about a bundle that was bought online for $1300, but was returned. The clearance price was $499.

So for $499:
Canon 60D
18-135mm lens
16GB SanDisk SD card
Canon branded backpack

What a great deal. The only thing about the backpack: it has too many empty spaces that need to be filled. :D

Wow, that's quite a discount, almost 60% off! Best Buy here marks returned items down by at most 15%, but only if the box is noticeably damaged.

It wasn't even opened. I broke the seal myself. All the items inside the camera box were also taped from the factory.

You should be soooo happy that you landed this deal. The 60d doesn't have the annoying high pitched "sneeze" each time you shutter (which the T3i does) and the 5.3 FPS feels so much faster than the T3i's slower speed. Not the mention that it just feels better in your hand/is much tougher. Image Quality is nothing new from the T2i, but holy dang I love my 60d. Now I'm saving for the 6d..

Sounds like to me somebody didn't know how to price it. I bought a Targus grip for a Nikon D40 one time for $15 brand new. It was on clearance. They retailed for $80. They had to get the manager over there because it was over 60% off to override the register. They had to honor the price on the sticker.

Extremely good deal, I got my 60D when the 70D was first announced and they had a temporary drop in the 500 range, but not as good of a deal as that. Congrats, and I dream of full frame every day but I'm poor.

Congratulations.

If I were him I'd have bought it and sold it privately.

I just got a NEX5T from Best Buy for $429, it was opened but everything still had stickers and plastic on them. I thought that was a good deal, but I'm going to have to start shopping at target:).
