Just bought a MacBook and am thinking about Civ 4

Hey i Just purchased a new macbook, my first apple product, and am thinking about getting some games, Civilization 4 included. Will this game run well? graphics are slightly important, but more so is performance. What other games are recommended along this genre that may run well as well

it runs Ok on my 2.2 macbook (same graphics as yours) with 2 GB RAM. Ok, but not great. If you play it windowed and keep the graphics low it runs smoothly until the very end. If you turn everything up it runs pretty badly.

It's ridiculous, too, because the game is not that graphically demanding. Aspyr's port is just crap. If you don't mind booting in to windows it would run much better on the same machine.

thanks, i did upgrade to 2 gb ddr2. but i am having trouble finding any current game that will run smoothly on a good setting. any suggestion

sorry, I don't play any other games in that genre. Good luck finding current games that run well on the macbook though...
