Build quality is great, it's stylish and as smooth as butter. Factor in the price it's just a massive bargain.

They are nice but the camera is terrible.......just terrible.

What do you expect for under 200 dollars?
Regarding the moto g, its a shame that the budget market will likely still be led in sales by inferior products to the moto G, many of which cost more.

Project Ara? Google kept that when they sold Motorola to Lenovo......maybe custom configurations is something Lenovo could bring to the table.
Good for you. Word of advice though, don't ever let the battery go empty. I had left mine discharged for a couple of days and now I'm unable to resuscitate it and I've tried all the tricks bar the freezer one. Sending it to Motorola for warranty repair.Build quality is great, it's stylish and as smooth as butter. Factor in the price it's just a massive bargain.

I've drained my Nexus 7 (2012 & 2013) several times and thankfully, I've never seen this issue on those devices. It usually takes 20 minutes or so before I'd even see signs of life (battery charging display) but at least they do come back to life eventually.I've experienced the same thing with a Nexus 7 and Galaxy Note 3. Nexus 7 was dead dead, even leaving it plugged in for 24hrs didn't revive it.
Ideally, I'd like to take a budget class phone like the moto G (which is absolutely fine for my needs performance, screen, and build-quality wise) and configure it with a better camera.
The current way phones are sold, if you want top of the range camera, you also have to pay for top of the range performance, screen, and build-quality whether you need it or not.

I'd say it's iPhone 4 or older.~what iphone version is the camera quality similar to?
God people want the moon on a stick for no money, eh?
The G is exceptional for the price. Exceptional.

The camera is adequate for the price. It's not going to be an amazing shooter. But it is there should anyone ever need it. People are just going to ruin the photos on instagram anyway.
Since I plan to move back to SoCal next year, Moto G has been one of my "micro-sim" options in case I plan to use the One beyond two years and would like to switch sims back and forth. I have the adapter (3 in fact for mini/micro/nano) but it is such an added hassle to fit it perfectly. This is why I'm reluctant going Moto X as well. And since I'm still very reluctant to iOS' limitations and forced upon ways, I have very few options next year if I do plan on upgrading since most newer flagships phones will get bigger and go nano. Google Nexus 4/5, Moto G, or maybe go exotic and get a white Huawei Ascend P6. Top micro-sim phone options for me without needing to commit two years with AT&T. LG G2 will already be discontinued by the time I arrive next year and not much of a Samsung fan.
I've done that several times without issue, too. However, my problem was I forgot the phone in the office on a Friday (around 15% battery or so) and had to call in sick Mon-Wed so the battery was without charge for a few days. If you check out XDA forums, it seems to be a common issue although I haven't seen a case as severe as mine.I drained mine yesterday no problem re starting it.
