Ok i need some help because i am really unsure what to do at the moment.

I am a new Mac user ( bought my first MBP 8 months ago and ever since then i have been loving Macs )

So i just purchased a new 27" i7 iMac w 8gb of ram. I have had it for 2 weeks now and i have not touched my PC since. The only time i have turned on my PC is to stream movies from it to my PS3/HDTV so i could watch some movies...

WIth that said, Do i keep my i7 2.93 GHZ desktop pc? ( Dell XPS 730x )

I also have a 28" Monitor that was sitting there also until 2 days ago when i found out i can run dual displays on the iMac, now my other monitor is being put to use...

I know you can install Windows on Macs now, Just really havent done so.

Everything i do can be done on OSX or Windows so thats not an issue, The ONLY thing i have not tried yet is streaming my movie collection from my iMac to my PS3 and really thats the only reason why my PC is still sitting here.

I am curious if i should sell my PC now? While the value is still good? or keep it? Will i want it down the road? I dont want it to sit and collect dust and be worth nothing in the end...

I own a iMac and a late 09 Macbook Pro.

Any advice?

Well this might help you but I transferred my digital collection to an external HDD and I keep that plugged into my PS\3 directly and it's better than streaming as there is no lag so maybe that could be your option.

Also, I'm uncertain if PS\3 has equivalent software but I have a software called Connect360 and it does allow me to stream media to my xbox 360 without having windows installed so maybe PS\3 has something similar.

Sell it. What are you gonna do with it? It has a Geforce 9800GT, which was a nice card at it's time. But now it barely beats the mobility Radeon 4850 in your iMac. So there's no use in keeping it for gaming either, or you would have to upgrade the GPU.

If gaming isn't an issue at all, I don't see why you should keep the PC.

For streaming from a Mac to a PS3, I use PS3 Media Server, works great!
