I'm pretty excited right now, upgrading from a 2015 15" MBP 16GB RAM 2TB SSD.

I saw that OWC price dropped this model, it was $2949 yesterday, and today is $2,495.

- Factory Sealed 14"
- Apple M1 Max chip with 10-core CPU, 32-core GPU, 16-core Neural Engine
- 64GB memory
- 4TB SSD

A bit overkill for my use, but near the same price as a M3 with 18GB RAM and only 1TB SSD. I really wanted 4TB as my photos library alone is 1TB and expanding quickly.

Just wanted to share, I'm pretty happy right now :)

I thought that price seemed high (my 16 M1 Max back then was only a grand more) but then I remembered how much Apple charged for that 4TB SSD.
yeah. Apple‘s refurbished site is insane. This used to cost $7,000+ back in 2021.

it’s half that now

Nice! I scored a certified refurbished 14" M1 Pro (10c CPU, 16c GPU, 16 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD) at Micro Center for $1350. I had almost walked out with a base M3 MBP, but at the last minute asked if they had any M1 or M2 models.
