Hi Guys,
I've just bought a second hand intel imac on ebay. It has boot camp and windows installed, which is cool. However, it also has all his stuff on it, his password; keychain; emails; cookies etc. How do I get rid of his stuff and set it up for me whilst leaving Boot camp and Windows untouched. I'm worried that if I re boot from the install CD it will wipe the windows part of the hard drive. Any thoughts? Thanks

It won't. You can actually just do an Erase & Install from the DVD.

The Windows installation is on a different partition.

Leave him feedback telling him to be more careful about that stuff though. :)

Whatever, chances are its not the sellers data, it's from the dude who owned the machine.

You don't actually have to do an erase and install, just create a new User for yourself with Administrative privileges, and then after reloggin in as your new user, delete the prior user. That will get rid of all the private stuff in his user folder.
