Just Bought an 11-inch MacBook Air (BTO)

Title says it all. Just bought one BTO (1.8/4GB/256) online.

I was really disappointed there was no 8GB memory option, and I honestly believed I wouldn't buy an Air without it. In the end, I think I subconsciously compensated with the shiny new CPU and backlit keyboard. I'm so weak...

One thing I'll share about the "experience" just in case it factors into anyone else's purchasing decision for this BTO configuration: The online store mentioned delivery time of "1-3 business days," but after I placed the order, the order confirmation had an estimated delivery date of 7/29.

I'm really looking forward to my first ultralight laptop!

I believe the shipping estimates are when they will ship the unit, not the delivery date. In other words, they will ship it by Monday and you will get it before the end of next week.

Oh, you're right. The web site clearly states "Ships:" and not "Delivered:" I was so blinded by all the excitement I didn't read that properly... heh.

there's something about the 11" airs that makes you want to own one. I'm trying to resist it.
