and I'm thinking about screen protectors. I figure if I ever want the look of a gloss finish on my screen I can just stick one of those on, and it might be a good idea anyway to protect the screen. I was looking at www.protectcovers.com but wondering if there were any preferred vendors that anyone has.

Finally, I found one. For those of you looking for a good screen protector for your MBP, go to NuShield and select the manufacturer and the type of laptop you own. For MacBook Pro, they charge $15.00 plus $4.27 for S&H. More importantly, they offer no questions asked full money-back guarantee (they'll even offer full-refund on S&H too!)

Their screens, unlike the static-cling polymer film type, do not trap bubbles. You can read all about NuShield right here.
I think that about says it all.... they are a little more expensive than some of the ones that i've seen but the no questions asked money back dealy-who-hicky is a real closer for me....

Well, excepting that you won't get the enhanced color and contrast, I suppose that could work.

What do you mean? It's not a different screen, just a different coating.
