Just bought iLife online...what can I expect as far as performance goes for iPhoto and iWeb? I have an iBook with 512 RAM and 1.0 GHz. I'm not too worried, as iLife '05 worked like a charm (actually faster than '04) on my system. Can't wait for the full-screen editing!

I find iPhoto 06 faster than iPhoto 05 on my 800MHz G4 iBook. iWeb works well enough too, the only bottleneck being slow iDisk upload speeds but that's the same on my G5.

My only big concern with iWeb is that, at least for me, it seems to be quite the RAM-hog. Consistently using at least 250MB (of my 1GB), sometimes over 300.

Yeah, my biggest concern is with iWeb. I would just make my site with Dreamweaver, but that takes too much effort and uploading it to my iDisk is a pain, especially when I'm planning on having a blog on there that I'll update every few days. With iWeb, it uploads automatically for me, so that will be nice.

It doesn't seem to slow down the system with my meagre 640MB but I haven't checked Activity Monitor to see just how much it is actually using. It's a massive 630MB app though.

To me the biggest/best difference is the iPhoto speed. It really is much faster! Also I love the full screen editing, iPhoto improvements make it worth the upgrade alone IMO.

Yeah, the full screen editing and speed boost is great.

iWeb runs great for me on my Power Mac with only 512MB of RAM. (soon to be 2GB)
