Just bought iMac, exchanging it for new one!

Apple has a 14 day exchange policy if you a new model comes out within those 14 days, you can exchange it.

I bought the 20" iMac 2.4 with 1 gig of ram. I bought 2 more gigs of Ram (3rd party from Crucial.com). I found out I could only use one of those gigs in the other empty slot.

Question is: when I exchange this mac for the new one (2.66), it comes with 2 gigs of ram... will I be able to use my ram (2 sticks - 1 gig each) in the new mac?

No, it still only has two physcially ram slots, which are already filled with 2x1 GB memory.

So I guess I need to return these gigs.
I have one already in use - probably not returnable.
The other is still packaged up.
Were only $25 each... I'll return the other and at least get $25 back.
