I am concerned whether I can download apps with a gift card. I wasn't sure so I asked the a best buy employee and she said she didn't know and WALKED OFF! Ugh some people are so rude!

Anyways so I left best buy and walked to the apple store on fifth ave, anf my gosh you should see the line outside to get in! So I walked back to best buy and purchased the card on the hopes that some one here can confirm whether I can download apps using the giftcard.

Also while I was there, I played the display ipod and it had Crash bandicoot on it. So I loaded it up and played and boy was that fun. Its pretty cool using the accelomater and people started crowding around me watching me play lol. I came 5th!

So do you guys recommend buying this game, or which other racing game should I get? I also want to get monopoly and scrabble. A lot to fit for 15 bucks!

Ok, so you bought an iTunes card and you want to know if you can buy apps? Yes.

However, there's a small part of me that thinks you want to know what apps to buy. I can't tell you which ones to buy, but I can say that Crash is worth the money if you like to sit and just play for periods of time. Scrabble is always cool, but I like those types of games. Monopoly is lame when you play alone.

Thanxs for your prompt reply Jessica. That was my first question if I could buy apps with a gift card. I just found it strange that it only mentions music, videos, tvshows and not games or apps.

And Yes I am trying to pick an awesome racing game lol!

I bought two games! Scrabble and Asphalt 4. So far so good, I am really enjoying asphalt 4, I've unlocked 2 stages so far, my driving is improving and I only use the accelomater so it's pretty neat.

Scrabble is fine too, though I wished I could play against a friend on my own iPod touch without wifi. The game AI needs some ironing out, but it's pretty nifty!

I have 3 bucks left, so I'm looking to get a productive app, something that would allow me to download, upload edit google docs on the go.

I'd like that app too! Unfortunately I don't think there is one yet..at least not that I know of :(

If you want another game I like TikiTowers, its only 99 cents right now and its a really nice game if you like those kind of games. There is also my game, TargetTap :D

That's because the new cards haven't come out yet. It's not like they are useless now. It would be quite a waste of money to throw them all out.

I was looking at itunes cards in JB Hifi (Sydney) and they only mention music and videos, not apps. They had a big mercahndiser of them and they were very popular.

I have a similar thread and my wife was told they can only be used to purchase music.

She asked for a card so "my husband can by apps for his iphone" and was told these were only sold from apple stores.

These are very tech savvie stores like Dick Smith and JB Hifi so if they don't know then apple clearly have a problem.

The thing is I don't know for sure if they can be used or not.

i dont understand this because ive been buying apps on gift cards purchased last christmas since the day the app store came out, so unless australia has some different system i'd say you can use them to buy apps.

Damn, too late! I was going to recommend Asphalt 4. I'm not even big on racing games, and I bought it and enjoy it. It's a great game :)

lol Yep I enjoy it too. Its pretty awesome and has great replay value!

Have anyone tried an app called "Rainbow Note"- apparently you can download/upload google docs to edit on the go! Its 4 bucks!
