Hello all, I just jumped ship myself from widows to a new 20" Imac Sunday. My son-in-law says I will never look back. Its going to take a bit to figure how everything works. First off I ordered 4 gig of mem to replace the 1 gig that came with it. I have 10.5.4 and and downloading .5 while Im at work.

Here are a couple of questions I have if you can shed some light on the problems for me: My mouse seems so temperamental, its all over the screen. I've tried adjusting the mouse settings and it hasn't fixed it yet.

Next Im using a hp psc 1350 all-in-one and trying to run it wireless and will not do it. It will work fine plugged into the usb. I did buy the airport express. I have looked on hp website and cant seem to find if their is a particular driver that I need.

Congrats on the new Mac :)

Regarding the mouse, what surface are you using it on? I've had issues in the past when using it on glass or certain mouse pads. Also what kind of mouse is it? Wired or wireless Mighty Mouse?

According to the specs on the printer, it only connects via USB so you will need some sort of network router (like an Airport Express) to use it wirelessly.

Its just sitting on my desk and it is the wired mouse. As far as the printer Im bought airport express and its up running my internet but it wont work the printer for some reason.

Sorry, I missed that you already got the express. See if this helps for the printer: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1253

Regarding the mouse, I just searched online and there seems to be an issue with the wired Mighty Mouse. Do you have another USB mouse to try out?

Yes, I still have the other microsoft mouse from my other pc. The wireless mighty mouse does not have this problem?

I'm not a fan of either versions of the mighty mouse. I got a wireless one for free and for some reason it can only right click when you only have a finger on the right click area. If you have your finger on the left click area, it won't right click. It's OK, but only since I got it for free.

If the other mouse works well, it may be better to use that.

Otherwise you can try searching for help or other mouse recommendations on MRoogle.

That's how it's supposed to work, the Mighty Mouse uses capacitance sensing technology (like the iPhone screen) to determine what fingers are held down. Since the "button" is one piece, there isn't really any other way for the mouse to know how you want to click.

But I agree, the Mighty Mouse is in definite need of a redesign. Microsoft actually makes very good mice, as does Logitech, even if they are a bit pricey. :)

well really the mouse has been the only thing that Ive seen a issue with right out of the box. As far as the printer, I will keep messing with it. Its printing now plugged in to the usb.
