Picked up a mid-2010 iMac loaded with a 1TB SSD, 16GB and the i7. Original box, packaging, accessories. Little over $300 from a coworker who bought it new. I think it was a pretty good deal. Perfect shape. No display issues.

The 27" screen seems HUGE and I'm hoping I did the right thing. It's beautiful but so much viewing area that I'm sitting here in shock. This is all because I bought a 21" mid-2011 cheap and put an SSD in over the summer but it left me with an itch for the 27". Still have a monster PC for power use.

Is this "shocked" reaction typical and does the 27" grow on you?!

It’s a nice model and supports Target Display Mode.

The main drawback is that it is unsupported for any currently supported version of Mac OS X.

With an SSD old Macs are still very usable.

To me, the 27" is a perfect size for Mac productivity and enjoyment. I would have gotten a newer model but, $300 isn't bad. Should have haggled down to $250 :p
I haggled down to $300  looking online most comprable examples were going for way more, like $400-500 on eBay and Craigslist. Plus the SSD already done was a mega bonus. It was fun to do once but a hassle I'll avoid again.

Been an hour and it's already growing on me. Pushed it back a few inches to the edge of my desk and it's not as overpowering. Have Catalina and Big Sur on the Macbooks and High Sierra works just fine, doesn't feel dated.
