Just bought one!!

Hey Guys,

I was going to wait until WWDC keynote was over to see if el jobso updated any of the laptops. But I found an eBay auction that was pretty good.

It's a Brand new MBA and I paid $1,645 shipped. and since I paid immediately I'm getting a free Next Day Air upgrade so if all goes according to plan, I should have it on Tuesday.

I had about $1,200 in my Paypal account balance, so it really only cost me a little over $400 out of my pocket. which isn't bad at all.

I just hope I don't get scammed. This guy has a good feedback rating, and recent transactions all 100% positive so I'm not too concerned.

I guess I always put my foot in my mouth when I throw out that much cash on eBay. Very rarely do I buy comps. but i figured it's a new machine, and next day air for $20 was good enough for me.

I'll update when I receive.

Now you go to bed, and know that a Tablet Mac will be Released tomorrow, because I bought this tonight

I sold my year old MacBook earlier today.

This guys rating was like over 150 positive feedbacks.... and quite a few recently. So i'm not too concerned.

phew got a tracking number and it's real and works.

Should have my shiny MBA in my hands by 10:30 this morning.

Also, ordered a Sprint Compass USB 597 3G Modem, should be in Wednesday. good combo along with the MBA.

Can't wait.

Well, It came this morning at 9:30. And I must say, I'm loving this thing to death.

The screen is absolutely brilliant. Best I've ever used on a Laptop.

I found a program called Senuti (which is free for the Mac) and copied all my iTunes music over to the computer and authorized it with no problem at all.

I still have a little over 50gb left on the HD so I'm not complaining.

I could care less about an optical drive, I probably used it in my Macbook twice in the year I owned it.

But, I played a 1080p trailer on Apple.com this morning, beautifully with no stuttering at all. Even my Dad said "wow, that looks good".

I can't wait to travel with this thing, and really put it through it's paces.

Only thing is, I can't seem to copy my iPhoto Library from my iPhone to the MBA, Senuti will only work for Music, any one have any suggestions for me?

I'm looking forward to getting the Sprint USB modem, and really testing it out. Hopefully I should get decent speeds at least here in Boston anyway.

When I plug my iPhone in, iPhoto start automatically and I can transfer the photos. I don't see how yours is not working right. You could also use iTunes.

PS You will love your MBA I have had mine for 5 month now and have not regretted the purchase one bit.

try using image capture to import all your photos from iphone. just plug in the iphone and launch image capture from applications, it should pick up the iphone then save all the photos in your desktop and from there put them in your iphoto library.
