Just double checking folks... are these items compatible with my Macbook C2D 2.0GHz? (Pretty sure they are.)

160GB 2.5" Western DIgital Scorpio 5400RPM SATA Notebook Drive

AND

2GB kit (1GBx2)
CT613250 DDR2 PC2-5300 • CL=5 • UNBUFFERED • NON-ECC • DDR2-667 • 1.8V • 128Meg x 64
I found some OWC RAM for ~$139.. but this Crucial ram is $120.

EDIT: Also, can anyone recommend a harddrive enclosure for the regular 80GB HD in my Macbook (to use as a backup)?

The correct way to upgrade would be:

(1) Put the new 160GB drive in the enclosure.
(2) Make a disc image if the existing HD, and copy to the new one.
(3) Switch drives. Putting 160GB in Macbook; 80GB in external enclosure.
(4) Reformatting (completely erasing) the 80GB and back up from there.

Thanks :)

Really any external enclosure will work as long as it is a S-ATA one. I'd recommend the cheapest, or a Vantec one.

As for whether they'd work, both the RAM and the Hard Drives will work. Also the upgrade path you chose will be fine. Remember to repair permissions after cloning the drive.
