Tittle says it all. what do i do now? please be specific.

No i didn't :( damn i just wasted alot of money there

Wasted a lot of money? Are you talking about songs you downloaded from the iTunes store? If so, I've heard that if you call up the customer support and sound really pitiful, they will grant you a "one time" exception and allow you to download everything again.

I'm not sure how that works, or if it is even accurate, but I've heard it in the past. Perhaps others can weigh in on the validity of my rambling. :)

Actually i already got one, but i oblivously didn't get all my new songs over :/

But i can still see my buys in my account. there must be SOME WAY to back them up?

if not im lost....

It's entirely possible. I'm sure for a customer who has spent loads of money that they would not have a problem in allowing a complete download again.

There was a way, you burn them to a CD, or move them to an external drive, BEFORE you reinstall your OS. Your best bet now is to call Apple.

Did it not occur to you that installing from fresh means you will lose EVERYTHING unless you back your stuff up? I mean come on!!

It's a bit like expecting a car to drive with no petrol in it. I mean jeez, use your head!

Hopefully this will be a lesson learned.

Do you have an iPod? If so, you could use something like Senuti to get the songs off the iPod and back onto the Mac.

Just be careful as the system will ask you if you want to sync your iPod when you plug it in. If you do, then it'll erase all of the songs on the iPod.

Do a google on "transfer songs from iPod to Mac".
