First off, this was pretty easy using OS X.

Took less than 15 minutes, but now I have a few questions.

In order to initiate the jailbreak, I had to install the USB drivers and now my external HDD (with my itunes library) will not work.

Is it ok for me to re-install the normal USB drivers so that my external hard drives work with my macbook?

Also. . (this may be a really stupid question) do I sync my iPhone using iTunes?

I am also getting a considerable amount of lag, I do not know if this is because I have a lot of music and apps?

Thanks for reading, hopefully I can figure all of this out tonight/tomorrow.

Yes, reinstall the normal drivers. Use a USB hub in future to prevent problems from occurring.

Yes. Your iPhone will work exactly the same with iTunes, but your Jailbroken apps will not sync with it. Everything else will as normal.

Lag will be caused by things you've installed. Sometimes a reboot will rid the phone of lag if it has been left on a while.

after I uninstalled kate, all of my problems have gone away.

The only problem is that I can no longer pick independent springboard and lock screen wallpapers.

Is there a program that allows me to change the font color/type as well as the springboard and lock screen wallpapers?

I have tried Winterboard, but you have to download all of these separate programs to get what I am after.

Thanks for the help so far everyone, jail breaking is most definitely the way to go.
