I haven´t used it much because I cannot connect it to my internet router (fault of my ISP) but I can tell you this:
I bought it as a refurb, but this is a new computer. If it has been used, it is completely impossible to tell. My guess is that this unit was a part of the overstock of CD when the Macbooks got the CPU upgrade. I have no need for the C2D so I grabbed the 900 Euro Macbook. I ordered it on Thursday and received it to day from UPS. Good job on the delivery!
The Macbook looks nice, much better than other 900 Euro notebooks. In fact it doesn´t look low end at all! The build quality also looks solid and I haven´t detected any flex at all. The power connector is brilliant and implies that Apple has had its attention to details in the design.
I´m also impressed that when idle, the Macbook is totally silent, but I haven´t pumped it properly. I´m also very pleased with the keyboard and I even like it better than the Thinkpads´ones!
There is only one or two things I don´t like about this notebook. The screen quality really sucks, but I guess that there aren´t much better 13" panels out there. I knew this when I ordered the Macbook, so I´m not disappointed.
The thing that worries me is that even though the Macbook is idle, it gets quite warm at the bottom. I´m going to see how it performs when running at full speed and maybe replace the thermal paste with AS5, which I´m armed with.
All in all, I´m very happy with the Macbook and I highly recommend it based on my first impressions. Sure, it is not adequate for any 3D, but other than that, its perfect for my needs; sturdy, cheap, quite fast and portable....and it can handle both OSX and Windows.
